Holy Moly she's still alive!!

Good Morning all you stampers!! Wow, I looked back and it has been since May since I last posted. WHEW!!! A whirlwind of things have gone on around here. I can't promise anything but I am REALLY going to try to keep up with my blog. I enjoy doing it!! Sometimes life gets in the way, ya know?!?!?

I've added a few pictures today. The first is our new "puppy". She is a doll. We rescued her from the local SPCA and boy did she have some problems to start with but she is thriving now. Are you ready for the name?? Scrumptious!! Very unique don't you think? We love her to pieces. She is about a year and a few months old and full of it if you know what I mean.

The next picture is my daughter baking. A rarity in our house but we love it when she does it!! Sarah has been doing very well and since school started this fall has been getting top grades. We are so excited for her.

The card is a simple one. I don't know the name of the Tilda used and I'm too lazy to go figure it out right now, HA!! She came with one of my mingles. LOVE the mingles!! She was fun to color. I used copics of course. I'm sorry I did not keep track of which copics I used, will try to do that in the future, I know it helps me. The embellishing was very simple. If you have any questions about it please let me know.

I hope all of you have a great day and a fabulous weekend. We are cold and rainy here. Nice day to stay inside and stamp or read a good book. Just what I plan on doing!! Keep smiling!!

Finally a Tilda to Share

Good Morning!! Whew!! Seems like forever since I last posted. So many things going on preventing me from stamping. UGH!! It felt really good to sit down, grab my copics and just get lost in time. So relaxing. I colored this last night and then finished it this morning. I was determined to get this posted. I have Maggie's sitting on my table that have not seen ink yet!! GASP!! Today I am going stamping with my Mom (Hi Mom!!). We go to a friend of hers house. She is our Stampin Up Demonstrator. Guess what?? I have goodies to pick up too!! Lots of new stamp sets and stuff. Can't wait. I haven't been stamping with the ladies in a long time. I really enjoy it. We bounce ideas off of each other and of course we gossip and eat. Just a fun time.

Anyway, on to my card. I started with a purply (is that a word) base from DCWV. I added a layer of Blush Blossom from Stampin Up, then a layer of dp from DCWV. I cut out a lavendar lace scalloped circle from Stampin Up using my nesties then cut my image out using the oval nestie. My image was of course colored with copic markers. To embellish it I wrapped some orange Bakers Twine around the bottom and added a butterfly charm. At the top I added flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts. Sorry the picture is not the best, must be the lighting. I'll have to work on that.

Hoping for some sunshine here in WNY today. So far it is not raining yet. Haven't heard the weather report for today. I guess it really doesn't matter too much since I will be inside all day and into the evening stamping. YAY!! I so need this day away from home and togetherness with the girls. Looking forward to it!! Hope you all have a fantastic day!!

Communion Card

Good Morning Again!!I wanted to share my nephew's Holy Communion card with you all. Need opinions. How is it? I would appreciate any comments. I started with a Navy CS Base by Stampin Up. Added a layer of Always Artichoke by SU, then a Gold layer from my stash, and then the vanilla layer that I stamped the image on and embossed it in gold. I colored very lightly with distress inks just to give it some color. The inside of the card contains the verse on the bottom and on the top the cross and "Jesus Loves You". The card took me forever to make. Trying to figure out where to put the outside sentiment, deciding how to color the image. I think it turned out ok, what do you think?? Enjoy!! Keep Stamping!!

Hopping Down the Bunny Trail

Good Morning!! I just love this Tulip Pathway by Magnolia. A lot of fun to color. I received it from a swap from the Magnolia group, along with Tilda and the bunny too. In fact all supplies for this card except for the flower were from the swap. The flower was from Diane at Magnolia-licious. I love the little bunny, done in shrinky dinks. Never would have thought of this but I need to pull mine out and use them. Really fun!! My daughter loves shrinky dinks too so would be something we could do together. Something that is hard to find these days. I don't have the copic colors again for this as I did this a while ago and set it aside and just finished it. Did that with a lot of images. Need to write the copic colors down I guess. I made a First Communnion card for my nephew last night. I am really happy with the way it turned out. I'll post it for you under a new post. It stopped snowing for now. It actually was sticking to the ground yesterday, umph!! We only got a dusting but even that is too much. I'm ready for sunny skies and warmer temps. So is my body. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis pretty severely and the damp weather does not agree with me. My doctor actually told me to move to a warmer climate, like that will happen. Have a lot of running around to do today and laundry to do too. Busy, Busy day!! Hope you all have an awesome Tuesday!! Keep Stamping!!!

Card Two-I'm on a roll

Good Morning again!! I had another card ready to go so I thought I'd share it with you. This one features one of the stamps by Humorous Seniors called Read My Lips Lucille. Isn't she a hoot!! I love these senior stamps. Don't have a lot of people to send them to but they are fun. I started the card with a Gold Shimmer card stock. I added a layer of what I think is baja breeze card stock from Stampin Up, then a layer of DP from DCWV. I die cut using the scalloped oval a piece of Cameo Coral card stock from Stampin Up and then cut my image out with the oval and popped it up with dimensionals. My sentiment is actually three words I put together from a misc. set I purchased at Michael's. It has all kinds of words. I added some bling on both sides...this is actually bling for flip flops but it works so nicely on cards too. Added a ribbon made with the Bow Maker and added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. The Humorous Seniors line of stamps can be purchased from http://www.ibrakeforstamps.com. This is also the new site to purchase the Wild Orchid Craft flowers. They do not carry all of the flowers but they do carry some and are looking to expand their selection too. So as an enabler, lol, I tell ya stop on by if you get a chance. Thanks for stopping by!! Have an awesome day!! Rubber Hugs, Kim

Back with an Easter Card

Good Morning Maggie Lovers!! It's been a while again. Seems every time I turn around something is coming up in our little world preventing me from being able to craft and blog. ARGH!!!! Card making is my stress relief and I need good dose of it!! So today I have not one but two cards for you!! Felt so good to finally color and create. I had this Maggie colored and ready to go, all I had to do was put her on a card. I started with a Cameo Coral base from Stampin Up. Then a layer of maybe baja breeze? CS from SU, followed by a layer of DP from DCWV. I colored Tilda with copics, sorry I don't have the colors because I did this a while back. I then popped Tilda up with dimensionals. I embellished with a bow made with my bow made easy (love that thing) some flowers from WOC and a few pearls from my stash. The weather has been wicked here the last few days. Can you believe we are still getting SNOW!! Enough already!! Mother nature is really pulling a fast one on us. It's time for sunshine and flowers. No more snow!!! I guess though I shouldn't complain too much after hearing about what is happening in other areas of the country. My friend lives in Raleigh, NC and they saw a tornado rip through there. The scary thing is she slept through the whole thing?!?!?! It could always be worse I guess, so I should be thankful it's just some snow. Hope some of you can find your way back to my blog. I know it's been a while and that it has been sporadic. Love all your comments, they mean so much to me and of course so do you!! Have a terrific Monday!! Rubber Hugs, Kim

Spring is Coming???

Good Evening!! I was able to take some time to stamp and create this little cutie. She reminds me that Spring is coming!! I hope sooner than later, lol. The weather here has been up and down which is typical for this time of year. We could still get blasted with another snow storm or two yet. Today was just cold and rainy. I'll take that over the snow. :)
This has been a very busy week for us. We had appointments, sometimes more than one each day this week. WHEW!! Really wipes you out!! Today I went to the dentist, ugh. They found that I have an abcess tooth. The dentist said that as long as it is not bothering me that it can wait to be fixed. I was shocked. I thought those things had to be taken care of right away. Tomorrow I go for my infusion for my arthritis. I can't wait for that. It helps a great deal. Then to the pediatricians with Sarah. Another busy day tomorrow. Hopefully I can do some stamping later that evening.
For this card, I used supplies I received from a group swap. Love the swaps. AnywayShe took a picture of what her card looked like and I made mine to look just like it. It really is quite nice. I did finish the inside of the card too, something I don't usually do but am trying to do going forward. I started with a green cardstock base, Then added a purple polka dot patterned paper, then my image. My images were colored in copic markers. Tilda was popped up using dimensionals to give it some added dimension. I then embellished with a border down the right side and a swirl and leaves and a flower on the lower left corner. I added a gem to the center of the flower and stickled the flowers petals and the buterflies wings. I also took some Versa Magic Ink ( Sea Breeze) and lightly sponged in the sky.
Thank you all for your sweet comments!! They mean so much to me. I really do appreciate them and all of you!! I hope that each of you has had a beautiful day.

I'm Back!!!!

Oh My Word!!! I have been gone like forever. A winter break I suppose. It's been one thing after another. Hopefully things will settle in now and get back to some sort of normalcy, if that's at all possible, lol. I have some good news!! My daughter is home from the hospital!! YAY!! She was released about three weeks ago and has been doing pretty good except for the occasional mood swings. That could entirely be her age. She is going to be 15 on March 21st. My Baby, my Son turned 20 on Sunday the 13th. He surprised us all by telling us he was moving out and getting his own apartment. My Son lives with my Mom. She is a little leary but wishes him well. I too am a little worried about him being on his own but I guess, sink or swim right??? I think he can do it but he is really going to have to change things. He does not save money at all. Could be a problem. The other big problem he is facing is he doesn't have a car. YIKES!!! He's looking when he's not working. Problem is he works so darn much. Ah well, always something right. I have been sick with an Upper Resperatory Infection. Boy is it a doozy. Two rounds of antibiotics and I still don't feel 100%. I'm just so tired and my ear still really hurts too. Time will tell.

On to the card...I started with a white card stock base, added a cherry cobbler layer, on that I wrapped some cotton lace around it, I took a page from an old encylopedia we had laying around that we don't use anymore, lol, and cut a piece for the side. I cut out Tilda with Nesties and popped her up to give it some dimension. To finish off the card, I added flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and a charm from The Charm Barn, neat little place to get charms, inexpensive too, I thought. I Used Crystal stickles on the rim of the umbrella and Crystal Effects on the rain drops and the puddle to make it look like real rain. All in all I think it turned out ok, What do you think????

Sorry I didn't have the copic colors for you, I actually did this card several weeks ago and am now just getting to posting it. Busy, Busy, Busy!!! Hope you all have been doing well. Would love to hear from you!! Missed you all!!

Enjoy what's left of the evening and have a great day tomorrow!!

Be Mine

Good Morning!! I have a LOT of swap kits with lots of goodies to play with. This card was made from one of those kits made by Daphne P. I started with a white base from CTMH then added a piece of card stock from one of the goodie bags and a piece of DP from the goodies too. The Tilda I used is 60's Tilda but I'm not sure what she's sitting on but doesn't it look great? The embellishments are pretty and very basic. This card is pretty straight forward, if you have any questions though please don't hesitate to ask.

Made this for a valentine card, not sure for who yet. Have to get a start on them though, not that I have that many to make but still would like to get them done.

My daughter comes home for a visit today. She is so excited and so are we. We are planning a trip to the SPCA, we are not bringing anything home though. Sarah is going to help me make dinner tonight too. The rest of the day we are just going to hang out together. Will be nice to have her home even if just for the day.

Hope you all have a fantastic day!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Happy Stamping,

Kim

Happy Birthday Abby

My Nieces Birthday is coming up next week and I needed to make a card for her. She has two sisters and they all love getting mail, especially if there is something in the card, lol. It could be $1 and you would think you gave them a million bucks. Ah, to be young and innocent again!! Of course I made her a Tilda card. I added more bling then I normally would too, I think. Little girls like that stuff.

For the card, I started with a white base from CTMH, Added a layer of So Saffron from Stampin Up and wrapped some "Happy Birthday" ribbon from my stash around the base. With the DP I cut out a label using the Nesties. I then popped up Tilda using the same label. I sponged around Tilda using Wild Wasabi Ink from Stampin Up. I colored Tilda with Copics. The cupcakes I purchased at Walmart and are made by K& Company. They are the cutest little things, they had several other designs too, I also got monkeys for my daughter. Back to the card...I added pearls fro Recollections above the ribbon, added a swirl on each side that I purchased from Joanns made by Studio 112, and added some crystal gems from my stash. Sorry I didn't keep track of my Copics used, I actually had this colored a few days ago and just now put it together. I have a few images all colored and ready to go just need to put to paper and embellish.

We got more snow today, UGH!!! About 4 inches fell this afternoon. It was the light fluffy kind so it was pretty but I just do not like snow. I hate having to drive in it, or go out in it period!! Oh....and as I look out my window now...it's snowing again!!! Geesh!! Well best be moving on. Hope you all have a fantastic day!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Happy Stamping,
Kim

A Card for Sarah and a Valentine

Hi there Maggie Lovers!! Hope you are all having a Fantastic day!! Mine started out not so good but I was determined not to have a bad day. I got a surprise in the mail today...my swaps from a group I'm in on the Magnolia Group. The December Card Kit Swaps. They are awesome!! They definitely helped to brighten my day. I right away got to it and made a card with some of the goodies I received. That's the Valentine card. The Valentine card was made all with goodies I recieved from the swap except for the rhinestones that I added from my stash. If you belong to the Magnolia Group this is one swap you should really consider joining. My other card today is for my daughter Sarah. I have been sending her a card every day if I can. She likes getting mail, what kid doesn't right?? So I have really been trying to send a card a day.
For Sarah's Card, I started with a Bordering Blue Base by Stampin Up. Added some DP from Stampin Up that I distressed around the edges. I used my Nesties to cut out the Lace Oval, sponged bashful blue from SU, added some pearls from my stash and popped up Tilda on it. Tilda was colored with Copics. To Embellish it I added some chipboard letters to spell out LOVE U and added some purple flowers from my stash too. Sorry I didn't write down the Copic colors.
For the Valentine card...I really can't tell you too much about it since I did not have a hand in picking the items out, well sort of but you know what I mean. The images were colored in Copic Markers. I cut them both out and popped Tilda up on the other. I took three of the flowers and stacked them to make one flower, nice colors, I think, don't you agree?? Love the little swirls too. The DP that was sent is really cute too. Copic Markers Used for this card are: E00, E0000, E01, E57,E53, E51, E31,RV34,RV23,RV29,W1,C1, C3, C5, C7
I'm getting around to finally getting things caught up around here. That means more stamping time. YAY!!! We FINALLY took the application for the YMCA in yesterday. We have only been meaning to do this for months. I hope to get in to swimming programs to strengthen my joints. This arthritis is really getting bad and I need to do something. Water sports is what the doc has recommended. I'm really looking forward to it, although the thought of having to put a swimsuit on does not thrill me all that much, HA!! Hope you all have a great day!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,
Kim
