Happy New Year!!

Good New Year Eve Everyone!! Does anyone have plans for tonight?? I do not. Ever since I have been married, we have chose to stay in and celebrate watching the ball drop with Dick Clark and our local TV Station too. Just too many things that could go wrong if you do venture out. We are not big "partiers" either so it really doesn't matter much to us. My husband proposed to me on New Year's Eve as the ball dropped. I was overly excited. We got married a short 6 months later. Ahhh memories!!
I know it's been a while since I last posted, I have been going back and forth here and there. I really have not had much time to do much as far as stamping. I hope I can get back to that. I got a new light kit to take photos with so bear with me as I get used to it. As you see this one is a bit dark at the botttom, my guess is it is all in the lighting. HMMM....I'll have to play some more with it. This post today is a new Tilda for me, not sure of her name, maybe you veteran Maggie Lovers can help me out with that. ;) I started with a base of Rose Red CS by Stampin Up, cut out a label from Nesties in some DP I had in my stash, cut out my maggie with the same Nestie and popped her up. I added some lace from my stash and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, some bling from my stash too and stickles to give it a bit of sparkle. Of course Tilda is colored with Copics. I didn't keep track of the colors I used. :(
I hope that you all have a very Healthy Happy New Year!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Merry Christmas

Good Morning and Merry Christmas Eve!!
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!! I hope it is a blessed one filled with all the magic of the season and special memories with family and friends. We certainly were blessed this season. At our last meeting with Sarah's doctors they informed us they were going to let her come home today and tomorrow on pass. WOOHOO!! We are all so very excited!! We never in a million years would have thought they would have let her come home on pass so early but the docs said she is doing well and because we visit each day and show commitment she is coming home!! I could not be happier!!
I liked this Tilda when I saw her, she looks like she is headed to a picnic or party with wine in tow. Ready for a relaxing day or evening. That's exactly what I need!! So, here she is. I started with a Lovely Lilac base by Stampin Up and added a layer of Dp from my stash. I wrapped some lace from Wild Orchid Crafts around the DP and added my image which was colored with Copic Markers. I embellished the card with flowers from WOC and pearls from my stash.
I finally got all my projects stamped and mailed out, I think that may be a record, ha!! Usually they end up getting them after Christmas. All my cards went out too. Hard to believe with all that was going on here at my house. My hubby goes Monday for a check up on his leg. Please say some prayers that he gets out of this cast. It is driving him bonkers!! He is hoping for a boot or walking cast or something like it. That would be nice. I am ready for him to start walking!! It's a lot of work for both of us!!
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!! Remember to take a few extra moments and reflect on what the season is all about. Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

I'm still here

Good Evening!!
I know it's been a few days but I'm still here!! The weekend was hectic and has continued on into this week. Can you believe today, my rental office and crew decided to replace our HUGE sliding glass doors?? Oh yeah and the temps were like 20 degrees with a brutal wind chill. At least it's done, I guess and my living room is sparkly clean because everything had to be moved.
Sorry my photo is so blurry. I had to use our old camera and I had no idea what I was doing. The camera I usually use bit the dust, we think anyway. So, hope you can make out something from the picture. Tilda is from the Magnolia Group's image swap so I'm not sure which one she is. I love her though. I colored her in with Copics and cut her out with Nesties. To start the card I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler CS by Stampin Up, added a layer of DP by Hot off the Press. I sponged around the image using Cherry Cobbler ink by Stampin Up. I embellished the card with a poinsettia from Wild Orchid Crafts and Pearls from my stash.
It's crunch time for getting out cards and gifts for Christmas. I'm not quite done yet but will be soon I hope. It's been tough this year with my husband laid up and my daughter in the hospital. I just am go, go, go and have virtually no time to stamp and get these projects completed. Hope you all have a fantastic day tomorrow. Keep Safe, Keeep Warm, Keep Safe!!

He's Making A List...

Good Morning!!
Took a break from making Christmas presents to make this cutie. Reminds me of a cookie jar my Grandparents had with Santa sitting there checking his list. Of course all the girls were good and the boys were bad, lol. Anyway brings back great memories.
To make the card, I started with a Cherry Cobbler base by Stampin Up and added a layer of DP from Paper Pizazz that I purchased at Joann's. I colored Edwin with Copic Markers and cut him out using Nesties. I popped up Edwin on a Real Red Scalloped Oval cut out with Nesties. To embellish the card, I used two holly leaves and berries by Making Memories and the poinsettias are from K&Company.
I have officially finished one, yes one, of the eight Christmas gifts I have to make. The rest should go much easier now that I have the design down. It's time consuming though and I hope my printer cooperates. Lots of printing, cutting and stamping. Also have to stain the stands. Can't say too much about them because my Mom (hi Mom!!) reads my blog. No peaking for her, lol.
As I sit here the snow is falling ever so gently outside. It's still dark out because I couldn't sleep. Have had a few of those nights lately. I know it must be stress. Lots of stuff going on in our little world right now. God will only give us what we can handle, right?? Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Good Morning!!
I have an appointment for an Arterial Doppler this morning so I will keep this brief. Here is another card that I made on my night out.
All items are Stampin Up! We started with a White card stock base then added a layer of red (not sure what color specifically). Then on white cardstock using Green ink we stamped the image. We added the ribbon and colored in the flowers with markers and added a bit of bling by going over the swirls in gold gel pen. That's hard to see here but is pretty in real life. The sentiment inside reads "May the blessings of Peace, Hope, & Love be your gifts this Christmas and throughout the coming year."
Hope you all have a fantastic day!! Supposed to be very cold here, yuck!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,

Christmas Peace

Good Morning!! A few days ago I promised to share with you the Christmas cards I made on my Friday night out. There were four different designs and we made a total of twenty cards. That really jumpstarted my holiday cardmaking. I had quite a few Maggies done but let's face it twenty cards in one night makes it pretty easy. The cards are fantastic too, in my opinion.
The first card is a Stampin Up Card. We started with a Vanilla base and added a Perfect Plum layer. On Vanilla cardstock we stamped the branch in Olive, I believe, and then embossed the ornament in amethyst. The purple embossing powder we can no longer find in our area. We used a thumbtack to make two holes for the gold cord to go through and added the cord to the card. We then added the sentiment to the card. The inside of the card reads "May the peace and joy of the season be with you throughout the New Year".
I'm going to spend some much needed time with my Mom this afternoon. (Hi Mom!!) We plan to do a little bit of retail therapy. We have an order from Stampin Up to pick up hopefully today too, YAY!! Lots of goodies in there for me. Stampin Up had a bunch of things on Clearance and I took full advantage of that. We all like a sale right?? Hope you all have a great day!! Keep safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Snowy Hug and a Winner!!!

Good Morning!!
The roads have been plowed and the sidewalks shoveled, all in all we received about 2 1/2 feet of snow the past few days. Thank heavens it has stopped. Funny thing is not five miles away they have green grass, go figure!! In the meantime I was able to get some crafting done, YAY!! Helps when you are stuck in the house and can't go anywhere. Anyway, I have two things for you today. I have a new card and a winner of my blog candy!!
First the card~~I started with crumb cake base by Stampin Up, added a piece of DP by Daisyd's. I colored my tilda in with Copics (sorry Didn't keep track of colors) and cut her out and used stickles on the white fur and snow on the broom. I added a sentiment by Stampin Up and punched out some snowflakes by Martha Stewart and put a sticker from Jolee on top of the snowflake to give it some bling.
Now for the winner!! My husband picked #11!!
Cindy Frazier said...
Wow! 5000 hits! That's awesome! Thanks Kim!
Cindy please contact me at with your address information and I will ship your goodies right out to you. I will allow Cindy one week to contact me, if I don't hear from her I will pick another winner.
Went stamping Friday night for a Christmas Make 'n Take. I made 20 cards that night. A good start on my Christmas cards, lol. They are really cute and over the next few days I will share them with you. I will be working very hard on my Christmas gifts for family. I can't even tell you what it is because my Mom, (Hi Mom!!) reads my blog. After the holidays I will get one and show you. Cute though. Hope you all have a great day!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Some time for a Tilda

Good Evenig!!
Wow!! Where to start--ok the weather here really took a turn for the worse. Normally I would not be at home right now, thus the post. We have had over 31 inches of snow, yes I said 31 inches. We are expected to get another 4-10 inches tonight too. LOVELY!!! You all know how I just love the snow. Well this certainly did it for me. There are driving bans all over the area meaning you can not drive any where. We are pretty much stuck at home hoping our power doesn't go out.
Meanwhile my daughter is back in the hospital and I have no way of course to get up to see her. She is a bit nervous about this. Sad and lonely. My hubby of course is on crutches and I have had my own problems. I have been go, go, go and just wore out. I slept forever last night and this morning.
For my card I used Secret Tilda, colored her in with Copic Markers, just realized I didn't finish her face, ugh. Started with a Crumb Cake card stock base by Stampin Up, added a layer of DP by Daisyd's. I added some ribbon, popped up Tilda, the sentiment is from Stampin Up, and all the buttons are from my stash.
Still time to get your comment counted for the blog candy. See the older posts. You have until Dec 5, at which time my hubby will pick the winner. Thanks to all of you for hanging in there with me. I cherish your comments. Keep safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
