Happy New Year!!

Good New Year Eve Everyone!! Does anyone have plans for tonight?? I do not. Ever since I have been married, we have chose to stay in and celebrate watching the ball drop with Dick Clark and our local TV Station too. Just too many things that could go wrong if you do venture out. We are not big "partiers" either so it really doesn't matter much to us. My husband proposed to me on New Year's Eve as the ball dropped. I was overly excited. We got married a short 6 months later. Ahhh memories!!
I know it's been a while since I last posted, I have been going back and forth here and there. I really have not had much time to do much as far as stamping. I hope I can get back to that. I got a new light kit to take photos with so bear with me as I get used to it. As you see this one is a bit dark at the botttom, my guess is it is all in the lighting. HMMM....I'll have to play some more with it. This post today is a new Tilda for me, not sure of her name, maybe you veteran Maggie Lovers can help me out with that. ;) I started with a base of Rose Red CS by Stampin Up, cut out a label from Nesties in some DP I had in my stash, cut out my maggie with the same Nestie and popped her up. I added some lace from my stash and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, some bling from my stash too and stickles to give it a bit of sparkle. Of course Tilda is colored with Copics. I didn't keep track of the colors I used. :(
I hope that you all have a very Healthy Happy New Year!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,
Kim

Merry Christmas

Good Morning and Merry Christmas Eve!!
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!! I hope it is a blessed one filled with all the magic of the season and special memories with family and friends. We certainly were blessed this season. At our last meeting with Sarah's doctors they informed us they were going to let her come home today and tomorrow on pass. WOOHOO!! We are all so very excited!! We never in a million years would have thought they would have let her come home on pass so early but the docs said she is doing well and because we visit each day and show commitment she is coming home!! I could not be happier!!
I liked this Tilda when I saw her, she looks like she is headed to a picnic or party with wine in tow. Ready for a relaxing day or evening. That's exactly what I need!! So, here she is. I started with a Lovely Lilac base by Stampin Up and added a layer of Dp from my stash. I wrapped some lace from Wild Orchid Crafts around the DP and added my image which was colored with Copic Markers. I embellished the card with flowers from WOC and pearls from my stash.
I finally got all my projects stamped and mailed out, I think that may be a record, ha!! Usually they end up getting them after Christmas. All my cards went out too. Hard to believe with all that was going on here at my house. My hubby goes Monday for a check up on his leg. Please say some prayers that he gets out of this cast. It is driving him bonkers!! He is hoping for a boot or walking cast or something like it. That would be nice. I am ready for him to start walking!! It's a lot of work for both of us!!
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!! Remember to take a few extra moments and reflect on what the season is all about. Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Kim

I'm still here

Good Evening!!
I know it's been a few days but I'm still here!! The weekend was hectic and has continued on into this week. Can you believe today, my rental office and crew decided to replace our HUGE sliding glass doors?? Oh yeah and the temps were like 20 degrees with a brutal wind chill. At least it's done, I guess and my living room is sparkly clean because everything had to be moved.
Sorry my photo is so blurry. I had to use our old camera and I had no idea what I was doing. The camera I usually use bit the dust, we think anyway. So, hope you can make out something from the picture. Tilda is from the Magnolia Group's image swap so I'm not sure which one she is. I love her though. I colored her in with Copics and cut her out with Nesties. To start the card I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler CS by Stampin Up, added a layer of DP by Hot off the Press. I sponged around the image using Cherry Cobbler ink by Stampin Up. I embellished the card with a poinsettia from Wild Orchid Crafts and Pearls from my stash.
It's crunch time for getting out cards and gifts for Christmas. I'm not quite done yet but will be soon I hope. It's been tough this year with my husband laid up and my daughter in the hospital. I just am go, go, go and have virtually no time to stamp and get these projects completed. Hope you all have a fantastic day tomorrow. Keep Safe, Keeep Warm, Keep Safe!!
Happy Stamping,
Kim

He's Making A List...

Good Morning!!
Took a break from making Christmas presents to make this cutie. Reminds me of a cookie jar my Grandparents had with Santa sitting there checking his list. Of course all the girls were good and the boys were bad, lol. Anyway brings back great memories.
To make the card, I started with a Cherry Cobbler base by Stampin Up and added a layer of DP from Paper Pizazz that I purchased at Joann's. I colored Edwin with Copic Markers and cut him out using Nesties. I popped up Edwin on a Real Red Scalloped Oval cut out with Nesties. To embellish the card, I used two holly leaves and berries by Making Memories and the poinsettias are from K&Company.
I have officially finished one, yes one, of the eight Christmas gifts I have to make. The rest should go much easier now that I have the design down. It's time consuming though and I hope my printer cooperates. Lots of printing, cutting and stamping. Also have to stain the stands. Can't say too much about them because my Mom (hi Mom!!) reads my blog. No peaking for her, lol.
As I sit here the snow is falling ever so gently outside. It's still dark out because I couldn't sleep. Have had a few of those nights lately. I know it must be stress. Lots of stuff going on in our little world right now. God will only give us what we can handle, right?? Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping!!

Good Morning!!
I have an appointment for an Arterial Doppler this morning so I will keep this brief. Here is another card that I made on my night out.
All items are Stampin Up! We started with a White card stock base then added a layer of red (not sure what color specifically). Then on white cardstock using Green ink we stamped the image. We added the ribbon and colored in the flowers with markers and added a bit of bling by going over the swirls in gold gel pen. That's hard to see here but is pretty in real life. The sentiment inside reads "May the blessings of Peace, Hope, & Love be your gifts this Christmas and throughout the coming year."
Hope you all have a fantastic day!! Supposed to be very cold here, yuck!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,
Kim

Christmas Peace

Good Morning!! A few days ago I promised to share with you the Christmas cards I made on my Friday night out. There were four different designs and we made a total of twenty cards. That really jumpstarted my holiday cardmaking. I had quite a few Maggies done but let's face it twenty cards in one night makes it pretty easy. The cards are fantastic too, in my opinion.
The first card is a Stampin Up Card. We started with a Vanilla base and added a Perfect Plum layer. On Vanilla cardstock we stamped the branch in Olive, I believe, and then embossed the ornament in amethyst. The purple embossing powder we can no longer find in our area. We used a thumbtack to make two holes for the gold cord to go through and added the cord to the card. We then added the sentiment to the card. The inside of the card reads "May the peace and joy of the season be with you throughout the New Year".
I'm going to spend some much needed time with my Mom this afternoon. (Hi Mom!!) We plan to do a little bit of retail therapy. We have an order from Stampin Up to pick up hopefully today too, YAY!! Lots of goodies in there for me. Stampin Up had a bunch of things on Clearance and I took full advantage of that. We all like a sale right?? Hope you all have a great day!! Keep safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping!!

Snowy Hug and a Winner!!!

Good Morning!!
The roads have been plowed and the sidewalks shoveled, all in all we received about 2 1/2 feet of snow the past few days. Thank heavens it has stopped. Funny thing is not five miles away they have green grass, go figure!! In the meantime I was able to get some crafting done, YAY!! Helps when you are stuck in the house and can't go anywhere. Anyway, I have two things for you today. I have a new card and a winner of my blog candy!!
First the card~~I started with crumb cake base by Stampin Up, added a piece of DP by Daisyd's. I colored my tilda in with Copics (sorry Didn't keep track of colors) and cut her out and used stickles on the white fur and snow on the broom. I added a sentiment by Stampin Up and punched out some snowflakes by Martha Stewart and put a sticker from Jolee on top of the snowflake to give it some bling.
Now for the winner!! My husband picked #11!!
Cindy Frazier said...
Wow! 5000 hits! That's awesome! Thanks Kim!
Cindy please contact me at kowal6211@verizon.net with your address information and I will ship your goodies right out to you. I will allow Cindy one week to contact me, if I don't hear from her I will pick another winner.
Went stamping Friday night for a Christmas Make 'n Take. I made 20 cards that night. A good start on my Christmas cards, lol. They are really cute and over the next few days I will share them with you. I will be working very hard on my Christmas gifts for family. I can't even tell you what it is because my Mom, (Hi Mom!!) reads my blog. After the holidays I will get one and show you. Cute though. Hope you all have a great day!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,

Some time for a Tilda

Good Evenig!!
Wow!! Where to start--ok the weather here really took a turn for the worse. Normally I would not be at home right now, thus the post. We have had over 31 inches of snow, yes I said 31 inches. We are expected to get another 4-10 inches tonight too. LOVELY!!! You all know how I just love the snow. Well this certainly did it for me. There are driving bans all over the area meaning you can not drive any where. We are pretty much stuck at home hoping our power doesn't go out.
Meanwhile my daughter is back in the hospital and I have no way of course to get up to see her. She is a bit nervous about this. Sad and lonely. My hubby of course is on crutches and I have had my own problems. I have been go, go, go and just wore out. I slept forever last night and this morning.
For my card I used Secret Tilda, colored her in with Copic Markers, just realized I didn't finish her face, ugh. Started with a Crumb Cake card stock base by Stampin Up, added a layer of DP by Daisyd's. I added some ribbon, popped up Tilda, the sentiment is from Stampin Up, and all the buttons are from my stash.
Still time to get your comment counted for the blog candy. See the older posts. You have until Dec 5, at which time my hubby will pick the winner. Thanks to all of you for hanging in there with me. I cherish your comments. Keep safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Finally Some Stamping Time

Good Morning!!
I finally found some time to stamp, WOOHOO!! I have been so busy taking care of hubby and my daughter and cleaning and such that I have been too exhausted to do anything at the end of the day. Today I woke up early and could not go back to bed so I stamped. Hubby and daughter are still sleeping, HA!!
My card today features Tilda on Ornament. Isn't she just so cute? She was fun to color but then again aren't all Maggies? I colored her in using copic markers, cut her out with a nesties and sponged her with Cherry Cobbler Ink around the edges. The card base is Cherry Cobbler card stock by Stampin Up, followed by a layer of DP from Paper Pizazz that I bought from Joann's. I used some lace ribbon and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Spent the day doing laundry yesterday and will do the same today, ugh!! Doing bedding and such too. We got Sarah new sheets and comforter etc. so they needed to be washed. We live in an apartment and only have one washer available to us at a time. I think today I will go to the laundromat to get it all done at once. I want to stamp!! Remember, I have blog candy available here. Stop by and take a look. Oh, for those of you keeping track...it did snow here, YUCK!!! You all now how much I just love snow, NOT!! Hope you all have a blessed Sunday!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Tilda with Christmas Ribbon

Good Morning!!
I managed to find some time to stamp a card. Looks like in the evening I can do a bit of stamping, I hope anyway. My hubby seems to settle in in the evening so I have more time for ME!! Of course some of that time is with my daughter too.
Istarted my card by using a Crumb cake base by Stampin Up. I then added a layer of DP from DCWV. I colored my image with Copic Markers and cut it out with nesties and then cut out another oval with my nesties in Cherry Cobbler by Stampin Up. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the sentiment is from Stampin Up stamped on a piece of crumb cake card stock, and the pearls are from my stash.
So, anyone have plans for Thanksgiving?? We are staying home and having a small dinner just the three of us and will celebrate later with my Mom. Anyone have snow? We are supposed to start getting snow tomorrow and it is supposed to be a pretty good blast of it, yuck!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Whew, what a week it's been!!

Good Evening!!
Whew!! It's been a really hectic week.
Both my daughter and my husband ended up in the hospital on the same day, Thursday. As you can imagine, I have had no time for stamping. UGH!!! My daughter is still in the hospital but will be coming home tomorrow. My husband came home Sunday. Scott, my hubby, broke his leg in two places. Had to have surgery to put a rod in his leg and will be out of work for at least 12 weeks. They say it will be 9-12 months before he is completely back to normal range again, yikes!! I am playing nurse now at home and am very busy. Didn't realize how tiring it can be either. I give those nurses in the hospital a lot of credit. Took us 2 hours to get him washed up today, omg!! Well you all didn't come here to listen to me babble and carry on.
For my card today, I really kept it simple. I had just a bit of time to stamp. Have to get in as much as I can during that time. I'm making my Christmas cards that need to be sent out. Here is one of them that will go out. I started with a Night of Navy base from Stampin Up, added a layer of Cherry Cobbler card stock also by Stampin Up, then added a layer of DP from DCWV. I punched out the ornaments from the Tags Till Christmas Set from Stampin Up which I stamped in Night of Navy and Cherry Cobbler ink. The Merry Christmas Ornament is stamped from the Holiday Best set from Stampin Up. I added silver cord to the ornaments (hard to see in the picture) and some brads in the corners.
Are any of you getting snow?? I know my brother is in DuVall, WA outside of Seattle. Supposed to turn to ice. That more than likely is headed our way. They are calling for snow on Thanksgiving day so we'll see. Keep checking my blog, I'm getting close to 5000 hits and when I do I will have blog candy. Well, hope you all are having a great week. Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,
Kim

Shopping Spree

Good Morning!!
For my card I tried something new. The ribbon treatment is totally new for me. I had seen it done on so many cards and had always wanted to give it a try. So I did!! I think it came out ok for my first attempt. My card uses a Stampavie Penny Johnson Stamp, isn't it adorable. She's all loaded up with holiday goodies. I colored her with Copic Markers--sorry I did not keep track of the colors used. I cut her out with nesties and popped her up on a nesties oval made from Real Red card stock from Stampin Up. I then added a layer of DP from DCWV and my base is from Stampin up. I just realized as I was typing this that I have written the instructions in reverse, lol. I started of course with the base, then the DP and so on. I'm looking at the card and giving you details but have to remember to start from the base up, HA!!
Yesterday was not completely a loss. I thought I would spend most of the day in bed but I actually forced myself to stay up and colored some images and got a swap all taken care of etc. I have been asked to make some cards for the Ronald McDonald House her in the Buffalo area. They got a hold of some of my cards somehow and my label was on the back with my address and phone number and they called me to ask if I would be able to donate to them. Cards that is. I accepted, now just need to make up a bunch. Difficult to do at this time of the year. I also was asked by someone to make some Holiday cards for her. I don't know how many or anything at this point but I told her we would talk about it. So, I need to stamp!! I have a BIG order coming in from Stampin Up soon and that has some Christmas stuff in it, so can't wait to play! Hope you all have a great day!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,
Kim

Tilda Picks A Christmas Tree

Good Morning!!
Happy Wednessday!! I figured I better post this early because I will more than likely be in bed most of the day. My back is giving me problems again, UGH!! Went to the doctors yesterday and they changed my medications around, I'm not so sure I like it but we'll see how it goes. On the plus side my stamping area is done, phew!! I found tons of stuff I didn't remember having. It was like going shopping in my own stamping area, lol.
For my card today, I have another invitation size card. This one has a bit more emellishments to it though. I like how this turned out. I started with a Cherry Cobbler base from Stampin Up, added a DP layer from DCWV and then my image that was colored in Copic Markers, cut out and popped up. I wrapped a ribbon from Michael's around the DP. For the embellishments, I used some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and some pearls from my stash. I used a new to me item on the fur of Tilda's coat called Snow Marker. This is like liquid applique but it is a marker. I must warn you, if you use this it comes out really fast. The marker is made by Marvy Uchida.
I have TONS of emails and posts to get through. So, if I haven't commented on your blog recently, I will I'm just a bit behind. Thank you so much to all of you for the comments left here on my blog, I love hearing from you. (good or bad) Feel free to leave constructive criticism, lol. I know I can use some improvements. Speaking of comments....I am close to getting my 5000th blog hit. I will be offering some CANDY when that happens so stay tuned. Hope you all have a great day!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

A Tangled Mess

Good Morning!!
What family doesn't go through untangling the Christams lights just like our Edwin is here? It's a family tradition!! I saw this Edwin and just had to have him. How cute is he!?!?! He is so fun to color too. Again, I wanted to keep this card simple for mailing purposes. Here are the details: I started with a Real Red base from Stampin Up. Added a layer of DP from DCWV and wrapped a Happy Holiday Ribbon from Michael's or Joann's, not sure which, around the DP. I colored my image with Copic Markers and cut him out with Nesties. Then I added gems from my stash to the corners. The gems were adhered with my new toy--a cordless glue gun. I love it!! I know not a big deal but for me it is!! Now I can really get my embellies to stick. They are not coming off and that is so important!!
Managed to get my stamping area cleaned up and organized yesterday. Now I don't know where anything is, lol. For the most part I do but there are little odds and ends that I don't remember where exactly I put them without having to search for them. When I'm stamping, I don't want to be hunting around for stuff. I'll figure it out. Still have one little corner to get to today. I'm hoping to find Christmas cards that have been made. That would be nice. I will be ahead of the game if I can find those.
Thanks for stopping by!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Back After A Brief Break

Good Morning!!
I'm finally back after a short break and it feels good to be back!! Just had too many things going on in general and believe it or not stamping took a back seat to it all. One of the positive things for our family is my Mom (Hi Mom!!) bought us our Christmas present early and bought us the Xbox 360 Kinect. Let me tell you this game system is AWESOME!!! No controls to use, everything is all by sensor. And let me tell you, you really get a work out with this thing too. You're jumping and running in place, waving your arms around, etc. and it really gets the blood pumping. We were all sore the next day, lol. Fun to use and easy to use.
On to my card, I have to really start making my Christmas cards. I really can't afford to send out the square cards to EVERYONE so I am making a lot of the 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 sizes. Here is one of them. Not a lot of embellies either. I think he is still cute though. Edwin with Package was colored using Copic Markers. I cut him out with an oval Nesties. The card base is Ballet Blue from Stampin Up. I then added a DP layer from DCWV, added the image, then the sentiment which is actually cut out from DP from DCWV. I added some sticky dots to the corners and that was it.
Today I am going to organize a bit of my stamping stuff, we'll see how much I get done. Then I hope to be able to stamp some more. I received a bunch of Maggie's in the mail and I can't wait to use them. I also got quite a few flowers and other accessories so I am all set to go. I really need to get working on my Christmas projects too. I work well under pressure but I really wish I didn't have too. Hope you all have a great day!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Pink and Yellow Challenge Card

Good Morning!!
Well, I took the plunge!! I finally did a challenge card!! I used the Magnolia-licious challenge to use Pink and Yellow. I'm not really sure I like the colors together but they are kind of growing on me so to speak. I always have a tough time with pinks and this is my first time really using yellows. What do you think??
For my card, I started with a Barely Banana base from Stampin Up, added a layer of DP from The Paper Studio, colored in Tilda with my Copic Markers, cut her out and popped her up. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, aren't they yummy?? The sentiment is a dollar find at Michael's and the dots are from Hobby Lobby. This is Tilda wants a Hug from the 2010 Christmas Collection. She is just too cute!!
Now I just need to figure out how to link this all together and I'll be fine, lol. It took me forever to get my blinkie for the blog to actually blink. Thank Heavens Rene from our Magnolia group asked how to do it because I probably never would have gotten it right, so thanks Rene!! And thanks Candy for the instructions, they were easy as pie. My friend wants me to help her set up her blog too, lol, that ought to be a riot!! I really am not that good with computers, though I am learning. Hope you all have a great day!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep smiling!!

Hannah's Letter

Good Evening!!
I have been making some Christmas cards. This is one of the little images I received from Michellescrap.com. So cute and fun to work with. The name of it is Hannah's Letter and is by Pixie Cottage. I colored it in with Copic Markers (sorry I didn't keep track of the colors). I added some Liquid applique to the snow and some stickles to her hat, I sponged the edges with Versamark Wheat, and Spritzed the whole thing with some glimmer mist. The flower is from Magnolia-licious and the gems in the corner are from my stash. The Polka Dot paper is Graphic 45 and the green striped DP is from DCWV.
So happy that my Magnolia-licious 2010 Christamas preorder came in today. I received some other stuff today too. It was like Christmas at my house, lol. I have lots to play with. Just in time for the holidays too. Word is the Magnolia Magazine is shipping tomorrow too. YIPPEE!! I'm so happy!! Hope you all have a wonderful evening. Keep safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

I'm back

Good Morning!!

So, I didn't post yesterday, YIKES!! It was a very busy day for me and then my husband and I actually had a date night. That's a shock!! We went to see the Buffalo Sabres (hockey) play. They lost but we had a good time anyway.

I have another Tilda for you today but I need your help with her name again. I get these Tilda's but no one knows her name where I purchase them. I guess I should buy from Diane at the Magnolia store. Would save me from having to ask you all the time and from trying to hunt it down. Anyway, if you know her name could you please leave me a comment. I would truly appreciate it. For my card, I started with a white card stock base, added some DCWV DP wrapped some lace ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts around the DP. I then cut out a Perfect Plum Scalloped Oval by Stampin Up with my Nesties and layered my image that I cut out with an oval Nesties. For my embellishments, I used flowers from WOC and Pearls from my stash. Tilda was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor Pencils and gamisol.

Well, for those of you keeping track, it did snow last night here. Nothing that stuck to the ground or to the cars or anything but it was a mix of rain and snow. Baby, It's cold outside!! Today we are going out to lunch with my cousins. He is in the military and is moving on to his next assignment. He was in Rhode Island and I think he is going to Oklahoma now. They just had a new baby and are excited for us to see him. They also have a toddler. Can't wait to see them all. Last time I saw them was at Thanksgiving last year. So this will be nice but too short. They are only here for a few hours before heading south to my Grandma's house in Olean, NY. Hope you all have a great Satuday!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Kim

Penny Black Santa Claus

Good Evening!!
I so love this Penny Black Santa Claus image!! When I saw it at Oozak.com I just had to get it. It is the perfect Santa. So easy to color too. I hope I have done it justice. I do like how this card came out.
I started with a Cherry Cobbler base by Stampin Up, added a River Rock base also by Stampin Up, then added a layer of DP by DCWV (you'll see me using that a lot this holiday) then I popped up the colored image and added the Merry Christams Sentiment. I twisted some ribbon around the card from Joann's and added some buttons from my stash.
We are supposed to get snow tonight!! YUCK!!! I'm sure nothing will stick to the ground yet but still. You all know how I feel about snow. Been raining all day today and it is cold. Today was laundry day, got most of it finished, have two loads left. Maybe three, we'll see. I can only do laundry up until 9pm because I live in an apartment complex. The laundry facility is only open from 9am-9pm. That's not too bad. Gives the basement tenants a break in the morning first thing and then again at night. There are only six of us so it doesn't get too busy. Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping.

A New Technique For Me

Good Evening!!
I went to my Stampin Up class today taught by my friend Donna. Donna teaches us a new technique or more than one technique in each class. This class she taught us how to make a Diorama Card. I was actually surprised at how easy it was to put together, of course Donna had everything cut out and pre-scored for us to save on time. To make this card we took 3 pieces of paper all 3 1/4 " wide, then 2 of the pieces were 8 " long scored at 2" in at each end, and 1 piece was 6" long scored at 1" in at each end. Then for the sun you need a 3/4" circle and a scrap piece of blue for the water. The palm trees and other decorations are all Stampin Up and were in the Summer mini, I believe, so they have been retired. You could use anything in this card. To cut the opening take the large tag punch on the larger piece of paper and go all the way in from the bottom and a bit in on the side and punch, move over and punch again. Turn it upside down and go all the way in from the bottom again and in from the side so that you line up with what has already been punched and punch, move over and punch again. Do this all over on the smaller piece of paper. I hope this all makes sense. Tape the trees to the backside of the small paper so that you can see through the opening. Then fold at the score lines and adhere the small piece to the big piece that has the water and the sun. Then tape the folded, punched out larger piece to the outside of all of it and decorate. If you have any questions about this let me know. I believe that splitcoaststampers probably has a tutorial on it, they have about everything.
Good Job Donna!! I was really impressed. Oh and by the way, the card folds down to fit into the little envelopes that Stampin Up sells. How neat is that. The picture doesn't really do it justice either. If you hold it up to the light the right way it looks like the sun is shining in there. Really awesome!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,
Kim

Another Christmas Card

Good Evening!!
This is late for me, I know, my daughter had the day of school and we had a day to ourselves sorta. We went for lunch then shopping for a bit then went to her dentist appointment. All in all a good day. We actually found some clothing that fit her right and that's a plus. You know teens!! She is getting ready to go out in the job market though and wants to look nice. Go Figure!! I couldn't be more thrilled!!
For my card today I need some help, I used a Tilda that I am not familiar with, got it from my LSS and they did not have the name of it. If any of you know the name of it could you leave me a comment telling me the name of her, I would be very grateful!! This card did not photograph really well, looks 100% better in real life. I also lost a snowflake in the corner too. :( Too start I used a white cardstock base, added a layer of DP from DCWV Christmas Stack, Cut out Tilda with a nesties and colored her with Copic Markers. I added stickles all over to give it extra bling. I then punched out some Martha Stewart Snowflakes and added stickers to the center from Jolee's and then added some metal dots from my stash to the corners.
It was a beautiful day here. Nice and sunny but chilly. I'll take it!! We could use more sunny days like this!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Tilda with Present

Good Morning!!
Someone asked if we had snow yet--not yet but the forecast is calling for it this week so we'll see. It won't be anything significant, nothing that will stick to the ground. At least that is what they are calling for. You never know around here. It's not unusal for us to get snow on Halloween, but this year we were saved.
My card was a fairly simple card. I started with a base of Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler, then added a layer of River Rock that I sewed a piece of DP from DCWV. Popped the Tilda image that I colored in Copic Markers (sorry I didn't write the colors down) and added a Red Riding Hood Ribbon also from Stampin Up. I added some stickles to Tilda's fur and the bow on the present to give it a little bling.
The kids have no school today and tomorrow, lucky them. This month they have more days off school then they are in school it seems. Ahh to be a kid again!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Merry Christmas

Good Afternoon!!
Another cold and dreary day here in WNY, at least it's not raining or snowing yet. And that's a big yet!! Going to keep this brief today, not feeling up to par. For my card I used a set from Recollections that I bought on sale at Michael's. There were some really cute images with the set so I picked a few for my card today and colored them with Copic Markers and layered them on Stampin Up's Cherry Cobbler card stock. I cut them out in various sizes and layered them on some DP from DCWV that I got on sale at JoAnn's. I then added a poinsettia from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I have to tell you if you are looking for a place to get your flowers and such turn to Wild Orchid Crafts. They have high quality products, fast shipping, and very good customer service. What more could you want?? Except free stuff maybe, lol. Anyway, I just had to tell you that, a lot of you probably already know but I just got a big order from them and I was totally impressed.
Hope you all have a very Blessed Sunday! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,

Good Morning!!

Whipped up this card this morning so I would have something for you and also so I would have something to show my friend today, not that I don't have enough but she likes Stampin Up stuff so this is Stampin Up only. As you can see, I used my punches to make an acorn!! I think it turned out pretty cute myself. It uses three punches from Stampin Up. The ornament punch, the oval punch and the new decorative label punch. It took no time at all to make. There is a video on you tube you can watch to see how it is made, sorry I don't have the link.

I'm going stamping today!! Will spend the day with my Mom and friends. My bestest friend just may be starting to make cards too. She only does scrapbooking but a few days ago went down in the craft room with her Mom and made a few cards. How exciting!! We'll get her hooked!! Hoping she will be there today too.

Went and got my hair cut yesterday. Usually not a big deal but boy could you see the grays this time. I told my hairdresser she purposely cut around them so I would have to go in for a hi-lite or something. I don't know if I am going to or not. I mean really, it's only going to get worse right??!! Ah well!!

Well, the forecast is calling for colder temps and later in the week that dirty four letter word--yes they are predicting SNOW!! ARGH!!! It won't be anything that will stick to the ground or anything but still. From then till about the end of April or so we will have to deal with the snow and cold. Hibernation time, lol. Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Happy Stamping,
Kim

Brother and Sister

Good Morning!!

This image reminds me so much of my son and daughter. If only they got along that well, lol. Seriously, they get along pretty well now that they are getting older. They still have their moments but don't we all. So when I colored this in I just thought of the two of them.

I started with a White base, added a layer of DP from a Winter Premium Stack from DCWV (gorgeuous paper I might add), cut out a scalloped oval with my Nesties in Ballet Blue by Stampin Up and then cut the image out with a scalloped oval using Nesties. I embellished with some epoxy stickers that I purchased from Joann's., a Prima flower and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

It is COLD here. Only got to about 50 degrees F yesterday, supposed to be colder today, yuck!! It's only going to get colder from here. My joints feel it. My husband won tickets to the hockey game tonight. I'm not sure if I am going with him or if my daughter is. GO SABRES!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Happy Stamping,

Edwin on Ornament

Good Morning!!
Let's see if I can get this post right today, lol!! Here is another one of my Christmas cards. I sat down last night and figured out how many cards I needed to send out--103. OMG!! That is way down though from the past 5 years when I was a demonstrator for Stampin Up. I have a lot of pen pals and send them all a card and I have a big family too.
For my card I used Santa Helper Edwin and Ornament. The ornament looks much prettier in real life. There is gold Spica pen on it and it really sparkles. I started with a Cherry Cobbler base from Stampin Up. I sewed together a piece of River Rock cardstock and DP from the Cloud 9 Specialty Pack. I colored my images with Copic Markers and cut them out. Edwin is popped up. I then added a piece of Red Riding Hood Taffeta Ribbon. I put stickles on the fur lining of Edwins coat and hat. This really sparkles IRL. The DP has glitter on it too so that gives it a little extra too. I didn't keep track of the Copics this time...sorry!!
We are enjoying some beautiful weather here in WNY. Rained overnight so I'm hoping it will clear up for today but the temps have been very nice for this time of year. It won't last long. It has been known to snow on Halloween--gasp!! I sure hope not, as many of you know if you have been reading my blog, I do not like the snow. Ah well that's Buffalo for you!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,
Kim

Sweet Tilda

OOPS!! Hit the enter button in error and posted SWEET!! lol

I am not sure the name of this Tilda but isn't she sweet?? If you know the name of it leave me a comment. I would be forever grateful. This is a simple card, I used some of the stuff I got from my haul from Jacque. (Hi Jacque!!)I started with a Coral base by Stampin Up that I sewed a piece of the Whimsy DP to. I then added an oval in Coral and Ballet Blue by Stampin Up cut out by Nesties. Added my image that was colored in with Copics. Added a blue flower with a cordoroy button in the middle and the sentiment which is a sticker from the Whimsy pack.

I actually got to bed at 7 am this morning, slept most of the afternoon. I just could not sleep last night and it was so frustrating. Hopefully I can sleep tonight now. It's a warm day here. Must be our "Indian Summer". We'll see. I've heard of other areas reporting snow. I'm not looking forward to that. Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Happy Stamping,
Kim

Get Well Wishes For Bushia

Good Morning!!

For the longest time we have called my Grandma, Bushia. This actually means Grandma in Polish if I am not mistaken. (Mom correct me if I am wrong here.) The younger kids would call her that but us older kids started calling her Bushia too, it just fit. Anyway, this is a card for my Bushia. Some of you may remember she had surgery on her knee, just wanted to send out a card to wish her continued health.

This card is a very simple card. I started with a Green Galore Base from Stampin Up. I took a piece of DP from my stash and sewed around it. Next I took my Nesties and cut out an oval in Green Galore and then my image. I decorated it with some corduroy buttons from Stampin Up and a ribbon from my stash. The image was colored in with Copics.
Hope you all have a great Monday!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,

Tilda Picking Lilacs

Good Morning!!
I have another Tilda for you today. I thought I would go with a Spring like theme since it has been so dark and dreary here. It brightened up my day a bit. Before I go into the card, I just want to say that I got a shipment from Wild Orchid Crafts. I have to tell you the quality of the flowers is amazing. They packaged them up so well too. The shipping was fast . I didn't expect to see my order for weeks considering it is international but received my order in less than a weeks time. I would highly recommend them for your crafting needs.
On to the card...I started with a white cardstock base, added some DP from my stash, cut out a circle in Perfect Plum and White cardstock using the Circle Scissors Plus by Stampin Up and cut part of it off. I colored Tilda with Copics. I punched out Perfect Plum and white ovals and stamped the sentiment on the white one. I added some sheer vanilla ribbon from Joann's and then the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
My daughter and my husband went moonlight bowling and just got home about 2 hours ago! They had a great time. My hubby is very sore though. He thinks he is this young kid, HA!! I stayed home and stamped. I can't bowl because of my back and such so it gives them a little time to themselves. I enjoyed the peace and quiet. Hope you all have a very Blessed Sunday!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Gone Batty

Good Morning!!
Again, another early morning for me, UGH!! At least I was able to take a nap yesterday so I don't feel too bad this morning. I was supposed to go stamping today but turned down the offer--gasp--because I just started a new medicine and it makes me tired and kinda feeling funny. I much would have rather stamped!!
I have another Halloween card for you today. Another image I receved from Jean, Hi Jean!! It makes me want to go shopping, lol. For my card I started with a White base, then added some DP by K & Company. I colored Tilda in with Copics and cut her out and popped her up on dimensionals. I then stamped Happy Halloween by Inkadinkado on white and cut that out and popped it up on dimensionals too. I added some clear gems to the corners and that was it. I wasn't really in a creative mood I guess last night. I could not figure out what to do with this card. So I just stopped, keeping it simple.
My daughter had her very first job interview yesterday. She did really well!! I was fortunate enough to be able to sit through the interview. They asked some pretty tough questions but she did great! Did not even hesitate. The only thing preventing her from getting the job is her age. She is only 14 years old. The company she applied for may not take kids that young. If they do though she is hired. Keeping my fingers crossed for her.
Hope you all have a great Saturday!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, and Keep Smiling!!

Too Cute to Spook

Good Afternoon!!
I actually slept in this morning so I am a bit behind in posting but here I am!! The new medicine they have me taking for pain is totally wiping me out. I feel an improvement though so I guess it's a trade off. Very cold day here in WNY. Only supposed to hit about 47 degrees F. Don't know how cold it is supposed to drop to tonight. Our heat has been kicking on all day. It's only going to get colder too. The snow is on it's way.
For my card today, I colored an image sent to me by Jean (Hi Jean!!). She was my October Mingle gal and sent me a bunch of images. I love it! I have quite a few Tilda's but boy there are a lot out there. These swaps are wonderful for getting images. I started with a White base, Added some DP from K & Company, then placed a knot in a ribbon I bought at Joann's, added some rafia, some cordoroy brads from Stampin Up, and I cut out the spiders from a DP pack from Cloud 9 Designs, Stamped a sentiment from Inkadinkado and then the Tilda Witch that I colored in with Copics. I sponged some Tea Leaves VersaMagic around the two stamped images.
My daughter, who is 14 years old, has her very first job interview today. She is on top of the world and way beyond excited. The interview is for Christmas help at Borders. I think that would be a great place for her to start. A good place to get her foot in the door, and who knows maybe they will keep her past the holidays if she is hired. She has such a great personality and will do well with customer service. Makes me feel very old though. My babies are all grown up now. :( On to the next stage in my life I guess, huh?
Hope you all have a terrific Friday!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm and Keep Smiling!!

Santa Helper Edwin

Good Morning!!

Another VERY early morning for me. As always I sit at the computer and stamp too. I finished this Edwiwn yesterday, another Christmas card. If I'm to send these out for Christmas I need to scale things down a bit. Make them smaller, otherwise it is going to cost me a fortune. I'm also looking for a handmade by stamp with my address on it. Anyone know where I can get one of those??

Well on to the card...I started with a White base, stitched on some DP, then stitched on some real red from Stampin Up, colored Edwin with Copic Markers, colored in a poinsettia from Penny Black. Both images were popped up with dimensionals. I added diamond stickles to the fur trim on Edwin for a little added bling. All of the stitching was done by hand (no room yet for my sewing machine, that is going to change though). I added some gems to three corners. Very simple but I like it!!
I am in the process of cleaning out my stamp area so that I can put my sewing machine on the table full time. :) I love to stitch on my cards and this hand stitching is getting old real fast!! My daughter also has a project she needs to do with the sewing machine so this is just the push I needed to get it cleaned up and sorted through.
I received more Copics in the mail from Rusty over at Oozak. I just love that place. They are not only for Copics either. They have a ton of stamping/scrapping stuff. Check it out. I almost have the complete set of Ciao Markers. Awesome!! I think I have 10 more markers to purchase to complete the Ciao set. Storage is a problem for me. I need something that is able to be taken from place to place with me, yet be good at home too. Any suggestions?? Hope you all have a great day!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Kim

First Christmas Card of 2010

Good Morning!!

I could not sleep so what's a girl to do--stamp and blog. I received a call from a woman the other day from the Ronald McDonald house here in Buffalo. She had received some of my cards at some point (they had my name and address info on the back). She asked if I would be willing to make some more to donate to the charity. How could I say no, I felt honored. So, I am in the process of making some very simple cards for them, not like the Maggies I make at all. Still great cards but they can't take me forever to make and need to be easy to mail too.
Today's card is my first Christmas card that I have stamped for this year!! WOOHOO!! Only about 90 or so left to make. :) I used an image by Penny Johnson (Stampavie). I colored it in with Copic Markers. The base is Stampin Up card stock, next is some DP I got from Joann's that I pierced around the outside and added a ribbon around it, the next layer is the image. I cut it out with nesties, popped the image up with dimensionals and sponged around it with Versamagic to soften it a bit. I then added two corduroy brads from Stampin Up and a Gingham Bow. I so love this stamp. Isn't she cute?? I picked her up at my LSS--Buffalo Stamps and Stuff. Just love that place.
Yesterday went to the doctor for my back. They gave me some medicines to try. They switched my pain medicine which is good and bad, good because it really wasn't working but bad because the copay is so much more. The cost of prescriptions, even with insurance, is crazy. I go today for my yearly mammogram, oh fun!! I should be getting a shipment of Copics today. They usually ship within 2 days. I order from Oozak.com and have found them to have the best prices around. Shipping is free over $50 I believe. I had a huge order though because I combined with my Mom and her friend too. There is a link to them on my side bar they carry more than just Copics. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you...I was lucky enough to win some blog candy!! WOOHOO!!! Doing the happy dance, lol. I commented on Jacque's blog and my name was actually pulled out of hundreds of entries, can you believe it. I won some very Yummy PINK stuff for breast cancer awareness, it's all so awesome!! I have to find her blog and will post it for you to take a look. Check them out! Hope you all have a great day!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Cherry Tilda in Pink

Good Morning!!
I went shopping yesterday at my favorite local scrapbook store, Buffalo Stamps & Stuff. I, of course got a few new Maggie's. This was one of them. She is Cherry Tilda. I just love her. For my card I colored Tilda in with Copic Markers and cut her out. I started with a Blush Blossom card base(Stampin UP). The second layer is a piece of DP from Magnolia, I then added a doily that I sponged Blushing Bride ink around, popped up the image and embellished with a rose and chandelier garland. The chandelier garland I actually found at Joann's in there Wedding aisle and it was 6 feet of for $10. I used a coupon of course and got it half off. They are a bit different from what Diane sells but pretty close.
Looks like another rainy day here in WNY. Very chilly and damp. My body does not like this weather, ugh!! I am going to the doctors today to see what we can do about my back. I have been in a great deal of pain with it lately. Hope he has some suggestions. Have a great Tuesday!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm and Keep Smiling!!

Loves Me, Loves Me Not

Good Morning!!

Did you ever play that game...Loves me, love me not...with a daisy? Oh how that brings back memories. My nieces now play it. My Mom has a patch of daisies designated for just that. :) Anyway, this Tilda reminds me of that. Not so sure I like the way this one came out. The colors really don't coordinate. I should have used blue embellishments or green. I colored my Tilda in using Copic Markers. Started with a layer of Lovely Lilac by Stampin Up, then a DP layer (not sure who that is by). I then took a doily and placed that down and cut out my image in nesties oval and placed that down. I added a Flourish from Sizzix, a flower from Prima, and some brads from my stash. I also pierced all around the edge of the DP.
I took my laundry to my Mom's house yesterday. My kids spent the day together which was nice, they actually got along, very surprising. Today Mom and I are going to stamp at her house. Should be fun. I always have a good time at Mom's house. She was the one that got me started stamping, thanks Mom!! I went to a Stampin Up party and was hooked. Shortly after that I became a Stampin Up Demonstrator. I did that for five years and just recently got out of it. I found that I was working with a lot of "other" stamp companies and not ordering as much with Stampin Up so I dropped it. My friend is a demonstrator though so I order from her. She may be getting out of it too so I will have to find a new demo in my area. Ahh well! Do any of you "work" for any of the stamp companies? Would love to hear which ones and what you think of them. Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Apple Tilda Easel

Good Morning!!

Had an awesome day yesterday! Went out to lunch with one of my best friends and then we went back to her house. She lives with her Mom at the present time and her Mom just so happens to be the same person I take Stampin Up classes from. :) Her Mom and my Mom are friends and that is how we became friends. We went back to her house to stamp/scrap after lunch. She doesn't stamp but boy can she scrap. We had fun!!
I made my card while there yesterday so didn't have a ton of things with me to embellish with. This is what I came up with. What do you think?? I kinda like it. I really like the easel cards, now to figure out how to make larger ones. Anyone have the dimensions and scores for 6X6 size? For this card I started with a Ruby Red base from Stampin Up. The next layer is DP from Magnolia. I then popped up Tilda on the card, added some lace ribbon, some flowers and some pearls. On the bottom, the sentiment is from Stampin Up.
Going to visit my Mom and my son. My son lives with my Mom and he has the day off work today. He set aside the day to spend with us, particularly his sister. I was pretty surprised but happy all the same.
Hope you have a very Blessed Sunday!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

My First Easel Card

Good Morning!!
I finally took the plunge and made an easel card. I was more concerned with the construction of it, I think, than decorating. This is what I came up with. I can see me making a lot more of these, they are fun. This card was very simple. I started with a Stampin Up Crumb Cake base, added a layer of Cajun Craze, then a layer of DP by Cloud Nine. I then took a piece of Crumb Cake and embossed "Trick or Treat" in black. I sponged some Certainly Celery around it and added some buttons from SU and added it to the card. I also added a ribbon from Joann's. For the inside and bottom I just placed a piece of White cardstock down and then a piece of the same DP I used up top, a piece of Crumb cake that I embossed "Happy Halloween" on. Very simple, I know but like I said I was more concerned with making the card. I do like how it turned out though.
I'm having a girl's day out today. It's been a while since I have done that with my friend. We are going out to lunch and then going back to her house to scrap/stamp. She doesn't do stamping and cards and such but does make really beautiful scrapbooks. So, she will scrap and I will stamp. :) My Mom, Hi Mom!!, and her friend will be there too. Nice to throw ideas around and such. I'm really looking forward to it. Hope you all have a great Saturday!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, and Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,
Kim

Get Well Wishes for Grandma

Good Morning!! I made this card special for my Grandma who just had surgery yesterday. She treasures each and everyone of the cards I send her and has some of them displayed where she can see them every day. AWWW!!! I love my Grandma!!
This was a pretty straightforward card. I stamped the image on Neenah Solar White paper, cut out Tilda and popped her up on the stump made by CC designs. The DP is from Basic Grey, I picked it up at my local scrapping store. The flourish is a Sizzix Corner Die and the flower on the upper left is by Prima. The other embellishments are from my stash. The base card and the paper for the flourish is by Stampin Up. The card measures 5 1/2 X 5 1/2.
Busy day in store today. Two appointments for my daughter. Just routine visits. I hope the weather is a bit nicer and that it is not so damp and dreary. I like the crisp fall air but could do without the dampness and dreary days, bring on the sun!! Here in Western New York it is typical to have the damp dreary fall though and then the temps plummet and we get the dirty four letter word.....SNOW!! Maybe it will be a mild winter. One can hope.
Have a great Day!! TGIF!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, and Keep Smiling!
Happy Stamping
Kim

Fall Class Card

Good Evening!!
I'm sorry this is so late but I have a good excuse. My Grandmother had surgery this morning and I went to be with her. She is 83 years old and had knee surgery. I don't get to see her as much as I would like to. She's doing fine. She's one tough cookie.
My card is one I made yesterday at my Stampin Up class. All supplies are Stampin Up. We started with a Very Vanilla base then added a Soft Suede layer. Then on Whisper white we went crazy, lol. Seriously though, there was a method to the madness. To start we took an acrylic stamp and using a light yellow ink we sponged that on the stamp directly. Next we took a green ink and sponged that on in spots on the same stamp. Then we took a orange color and did the same thing. Then we stamped on the paper. We got a nice Tri-color effect. We did that a few times until we were happy with what we had. We also stamped a background stamp and a stamp that looked like water drops. Then we took saran wrap and inked it up, stamped off on scrap paper and then dabbed on the cardstock all over. We did this with all the colors and it gave it a nice fall background. We then added the ribbon and popped up two leaves for added effect. Does this make sense at all? How do you like it?
Another damp and dreary day here, my arthritis is flaring up in a big way. I went to the doctor for it and they gave me some injections to help. They told me to move to a better climate, ACK!!!! Guess I'm stuck with this. As long as I can keep stamping!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!
Happy Stamping,

A Very Early Morning

Good Morning!!
It was a VERY early morning for me. I was up at 3 am and could not go back to bed, ugh!!! So what's a girl to do...STAMP!!! Very relaxing and no one else around to disturb you either. I like that. On to my card. I stamped the Swinging Tilda and cut her out and popped her up on a SugarPlums (CC Designs) Swing. I colored her in with Copics, I'll list those below. Added some lace ribbon from my stash and small flowers from Prima, big flower and pearls from my stash. I emailed Barb H. (HI Barb!!) and she was so helpful to this new Maggie stamper. She helped me with sizes and such and that made a huge difference for me. Thank you Barb!!
Today, I get to go to a Stampin Up class and then I will stay and stamp after the class. The instructor for the class is a good friend of my Mom's (HI Mom!!) and mine so we usually stay after the class and stamp the rest of the day. We place a SU order with her at the class, I still don't know what I'm going to order. So much I want, so little money. HA!!
Hope you all have a great day!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm or Cool, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,
Kim

Tulip Tilda

Good Morning!!
Don't you just love when a card comes together the way you like it...that's this card! I only did a card front not a full card. The front is 6X6 and I may start a scrap book of sorts with my Maggie's and it will be 6X6. This will be the first one. For my front I used Tulip Tilda and Field Fence by Swiss Pixies a CC Designs. The First layer is Stampin Up Bermuda Bay, next layer is SU DP called Sarah, then the images which were colored in with Copic Markers (I will start keeping track of them for you), the fence was popped up with dimensionals, I added another strip of the same DP (it came in a pack) to the top and added a ribbon, some pearls and a Prima flower. To really give it some bling I added a Prima swirl. Really like how this turned out. What do you think?
Back to school for my daughter today. She has been out sick and then had the long weekend. She is ready. She gets bored very easily and has had nothing to do. She will have tons of homework to makeup for a while so she won't be bored for a bit.
Still very sore all over my body, I called my arthritis doc and they prescribed a medicine for me to try. They call it a flare up. I have another name for it but we won't go there, lol.
You are not going to believe what I found yesterday cleaning my stamp area. MORE TILDA'S!! YAY!! I couldn't believe it, I thought I had more somewhere and I did. I was so happy. I really need to get through all my stuff I guess, no telling what I might find!! Hope you all have a great Tuesday!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm or Cool, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,
Kim

Halloween Owl

Good Morning!!

It is very early mornig for me, I couldn't sleep, so here I am. I love this new Owl Punch from Stampin Up! Looks a little washed out here in the picture but it really doesn't in real life. The punch is in the new Idea Book and Catalog put out by SU. I also used the Two Step Bird Punch for the branch, a circle punch for the moon, and a square punch and scalloped square punch for the sentiment. The background DP is from Cloud 9 Specialty Mat Pack, the Close to Cocoa base is from Stampin Up and the ribbon is from Joann's. A very easy card but I like how it turned out, don't you?

Wow!!Have you seen this???? Bec from Bizzy Bec's has some awesome Candy on offer until the 10th November!!!!! Why?? Bec has a brand spankin' new blog that's why!! hahaha check it out click HERE its very COOL!!!!!

Today is Columbus Day here in the USA and Thanksgiving for our neighbors to the North. I hope you all enjoy your holiday. Lots of specials and sales at the malls and craft stores. Anyone going shopping?? I am not, I did some damage last week at Joann's and AC Moore's so I am done for a bit. Had some great coupons and got some great deals. I want to get some more Copics now and Maggies of course. Have to wait till the beginning of the month. Oh, I can hardly wait!

Hope you all have a fabulous Monday!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm, Keep Smiling!!

Finally an Edwin

Good Morning!!

I finally have an Edwin to share with you. I think I own two plus the Bride and Groom. So here is Baseball Cap Edwin. Isn't he cute? Love his little angel wings. It's a very simple card. I have a hard time with male cards, so I just kept it simple. I started with a Ballet Blue Card from Stampin Up, then added a Real Red layer from SU and then a DP from SU and then I cut the image using Nestibilities. I colored the image using Copic Markers, I then added some twine and metallic spots and some stickles to the wings. What do you think?
I'm feeling a little bit better this morning. Still not 100% but I'm getting there. At least my joints don't ache as terribly as they did yesterday. I need a good massage. :)
Hope to get some stamping in today. Have laundry to do and can stamp in between loads. We live in a third floor apartment so doing laundry is no fun, have to go down four flights of stairs and back up again. It gets old really quick. Stamping helps to relax me. It helps the laundry go by faster too. Hope you all have a very Blessed Sunday!! Keep Safe, Keep Warm or Cool, and Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,
Kim

Better Late than Never

Good Evening!!
Well, I'm a little late posting today but at least I finally got it done. I have been struggling with a bad headache and my joints ache terribly. Ah well!!
On to the card. This is a Stampin Up set that I have used called Just Believe. I really love this stamp set. The card really sparkles in real life. I first stamped my image in Perfect Plum ink and then stamped it again in VersaMagic and embossed it in Dazzling Diamonds. Very sparkly!! Added some Certainly Celery around the edges and a sparkle brad and some ribbon fom my stash and that's it. The inside of my card is above and I cut out the sentiment using Nestibilites and added some sparkly brads from my stash.
Have lots to do for my Magnolia group, Hi ladies!!, but I love it. Lots of images to stamp and send out and other goodies too. Hope you all have been haviing a wonderful day. Keep safe, keep warm or cool, keep smiling.
Happy Stamping,
Kim

Take Flight

Good Morning!!
Rene has contacted me with her address so I am sending her a package of goodies. Enjoy Rene!!
Today's card was a card I submitted for a swap over at splitcoaststampers. It was for the use of the Big Shot. I used the Top Note Die and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die. The stamp is from my LSS, Buffalo Stamps and Stuff (love that place) and is from Great impressions. I stamped it in Pear Pizzaz ink by Stampin Up,added a strip of DP and the base is SU paper, I believe it is Lovely Lilac. I really like how this turned out. What do you think?
I have an ornament stamp from Magnolia. Does anyone know the number and the name of it? This is a large image, one the figures would sit on. I can't find it anywhere. Found it at my local stamp store and have not seen it since. It's really cute!
My allergies are really kicking my behind. I have them worse than I ever have had them before. I think I may be catching the flu from my daughter too, UGH!! I don't need that, that's for sure.
It's Friday!! Hope you all have an awesome day!! Keep safe, Keep cool or warm, Keep smiling!!
Happy Stamping,
Kim

Greeting Card Kids--Halloween and a Winner!!

Good Morning!!
I just received an order from Stampin Up and boy did I get some nice stuff!! Here is one of the images from one of the sets called Greeting Card Kids. They are adorable and come with an image for Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's and looks like Back to School. Very Cute!! I colored my image with Prismacolor pencils and gamisol. The base paper is Stampin Up, the DP is from a stack I got at Joann's and is just awesome, Ribbon is also from Joann's, and I colored two white dew drops black and added those. The green around the image is VersaMagic. Really like how this turned out.
I want to thank all of you for your comments, I read each of them and they mean so much to me. Yesterday there was a little blog candy for commenting here. We have a winner!!! Rene!! I have emailed her for her address and will wait one week. If I don't hear from her I will pick another winner.
My daughter is sick with the flu so I am going to miss my Dentist appointment today, AWWW. Can you tell I am so upset?? :) I have to take her into the doctor this morning. Did not get much stamping done yesterday but did get to visit with Mom, Hi Mom!, so that was nice. Maybe today I can get to some creativity. Wishing you all a Happy Thursday!! Keep Safe, Keep warm or cool, Keep Smiling!!
Happy Stamping,
Kim
